Intelligent Delivery is a set of features which allow content in a title XVC package to be tagged so that portions of the content can be selectively delivered to consoles based on the particular device type of the console as well as the language setting of the console.
When creating XVC packages, the developer annotates chunks in their layout file with specifiers. Specifiers fall into the following categories:
Intelligent Delivery: Devices Specifiers
Describes how to use Intelligent Delivery to control which devices a chunk should be installed on.
Intelligent Delivery: Language specifiers
Describes how to use Intelligent Delivery to control which language-specific assets are installed on a console.
Intelligent Delivery: Content type specifiers
Describes how to use Intelligent Delivery to manage installation of a title’s optional single-player or multiplayer mode.
Intelligent Delivery: Custom tag specifiers
Describes how to use Intelligent Delivery to support multi-disc and other complex installation scenarios.
Intelligent Delivery: OnDemand content
Describes how to use Intelligent Delivery to designate content which is not installed by default, but can be installed at the request of either the user or the title.
