Compare Product Instance Data for One or More Sandboxes

Use the compare data feature to determine the differences between product instances in two different sandboxes. Using this comparison can also help you quickly determine if a sandbox has the latest version of the product instance.

To compare product instance data for one or more sandboxes

  1. On the XDP dashboard, in the Search For list, select Product.
  2. Type the name of your product, and click the Find icon.
  3. If needed, select Product in the left column, locate the name of your product, and select it.
  4. Under Product Configuration, click Compare Data, or select it from the left-hand menu.
  5. Under the Left Side, in the Choose Sandbox drop-down list, select one of the product instances you want to compare.
  6. Under the Choose Sandbox list, select either Draft or Published.
  7. Under the Right Side, in the Choose Sandbox drop-down list, select one of the product instances you want to compare.
  8. Under the Choose Sandbox list, select either Draft or Published.
  9. Select the sections, such as, Catalog and Marketplace or Service Configuration that you want to compare.
  10. Click Compare.
  11. Review the results of each line item. You may see the following options:
    • A circle with an arrow pointing to the left. This indicates the item exists only in the product instance for the sandbox on the left.
    • A circle with an arrow pointing to the right. This indicates the item exists only in the product instance for the sandbox on the right.
    • A circle with a not equal sign. This indicates that the item exists in both sandboxes, but doesn’t match. Additional details regarding the mismatch are provided.
