Create a New Sandbox

During the creation of a product group, Xbox Developer Portal (XDP) offers a default sandbox for the product instances within that product group.

If you want to create additional sandboxes, you can do so at any time.

Note To create an additional sandbox, you must have the “Publisher Management” permission. Each publisher or studio may have a maximum of 100 sandboxes.

To create an additional Xbox One sandbox for your organization

1. On the Manage menu, click Sandboxes.
   
2. On the Sandboxes page, click Add new sandbox.
3. On the Product Sandbox Setup page:
   • From the Id list, either accept the default value or select a different value from the drop-down menu.
   • In the Name field, type a name that will make this sandbox easy to identify.
   • Click Next.
     Your new sandbox appears on the Sandboxes page.
     

To change the name of an existing sandbox

1. On the Sandboxes page, click the name of the sandbox you want to change.
2. On the Product Sandbox Setup page, edit the value in the Name field.
3. Click Next. Your sandbox appears with its new descriptive name on the Sandboxes page.
