IMFSchemeHandler::EndCreateObject Method

Completes an asynchronous request to create an object from a URL.

Syntax

HRESULT EndCreateObject(
         IMFAsyncResult *pResult,
         MF_OBJECT_TYPE *pObjectType,
         _Outptr_ IUnknown **ppObject
)

Parameters

pResult
Type: IMFAsyncResult *

Pointer to the IMFAsyncResult interface. Pass in the same pointer that your callback object received in the Invoke method.

pObjectType
Type: MF_OBJECT_TYPE *

Receives a member of the MF_OBJECT_TYPE enumeration, specifying the type of object that was created.

ppObject
Type: Outptr IUnknown **

Receives a pointer to the IUnknown interface of the object. The caller must release the interface.

Return value

Type: HRESULT 

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

S_OK The method succeeded.
E_ABORT The operation was canceled.

Call this method from inside the IMFAsyncCallback::Invoke method.
