XMLoadShortN4

Loads an XMSHORTN4 into an XMVECTOR.

Syntax

XMVECTOR XMLoadShortN4(
         const XMSHORTN4 *pSource
)  

Parameters

pSource
Type: XMSHORTN4 *

[in]

Address of the XMSHORTN4 structure to load. This parameter must point to cached memory.

Return value

Type: XMVECTOR 

Returns an XMVECTOR loaded with the data from the pSource parameter.

Remarks

The following pseudocode demonstrates the operation of the function.

XMVECTOR vectorOut;

vectorOut.x = (float)pSource->x / 32767.0f;
vectorOut.y = (float)pSource->y / 32767.0f;
vectorOut.z = (float)pSource->z / 32767.0f;
vectorOut.w = (float)pSource->w / 32767.0f;

return vectorOut;  

Note that both -32767 and -32768 map to -1.f.
