Assign or Change Content Permissions for an Access Group

An access group in Xbox Developer Portal (XDP) must have permission to work with Xbox One content before the group can access that content.

The permissions that are assigned define the kinds of work the users in the group can do with any content they are granted access to.

Note

To assign or change permissions in XDP, you must be part of a group with Publisher Management permissions in your organization.

Assign or change a user group’s permissions

To assign or change the permissions for an access group

1. On the Manage menu, click Access Management.
   
2. In the My Groups list on the page that appears, you see groups by default. The center column shows details of the group that’s selected. The right column can be pre-populated with users you want to add to the group.
   
3. Select a group and then click Permissions.
4. On the Group permissions list of check boxes, select the content types you want to assign permissions for. (You can select more than one type here.) The selection automatically starts saving (the lower-right corner of the screen indicates Working and then Saved). When saving is complete, the lower-right corner of the screen indicates Done.
   

   Note There are also options here for adding people, devices, and products to an access group.
   
   

The permissions in XDP

Before an XDP user can be granted access to work with Xbox One content, the user’s XDP account must be assigned permission and included in at least one XDP access group.
