Service Configuration for a Game or Application

Important Xbox Developer Portal has been replaced, and publishing is now done through Partner Center. Please see Publish Windows apps and games, the Xbox Live Testing and Releasing and Achievements documentation, and the Advanced Publishing Guide.

Service configuration for an Xbox One game or application is the collection of all of the configuration data provided by the developer. The service configuration contains a wide variety of information that your title or app needs to be able to access in run time, beginning with definitions of events, statistics, and achievements. The service configuration includes elements as diverse as definitions of matchmaking hoppers and specifications for the title’s storage structure and Network Security Authorization List (NSAL).
