A bundle is a collection of products that are purchased and/or distributed as a single unit on a single, physical disc. A bundle can contain one or more apps or games, as well as downloadable content (DLC).
Use the following list to determine the requirements and recommendations for creating a bundle:
You create a bundle in XDP using the same procedures as for other products. For those procedures, see Create and Manage Products.
When you create a new bundle, be sure to select the correct marketplace for the bundle.
| Marketplace | Intended for | Bundle includes |
|---|---|---|
| Add-ons Store | Game Add-On Durable | DLC only |
| Apps Store | Media Application | Apps only |
| Games Store | Game | Game + DLC or Game only |
After creating a new bundle in XDP, you will configure it. The workflow for approving sales regions, artwork, and other catalog data are the same for bundles as for other products.
To configure availabilities, use the latest version of the Catalog & Availability workbook. For a bundle, completing the following sections are required:
After availability is set up, and it is confirmed as complete, you publish the Catalog and Marketplace Availability for the product instance of the bundle. You do not need to publish Service Configuration & Binary, because they do not apply to bundles. (Bundles are comprised of products that have their own service configurations and binary files).
When all configuration of your bundle is complete, request disc manufacturing or retail release by contacting DSC Business Operations Support (dscsup@microsoft.com).
