Configure the Network Security Authorization List (Service Configuration)

This topic provides procedures for configuring and changing the network security authorization list (NSAL) in the service configuration for a title.

What is the NSAL?

Each title, in each sandbox, can use the Network Security Authorization List (NSAL) to specify which web services it needs to communicate with. When you configure an NSAL, you select previously configured web services. This operation will allow the client title to make calls to the selected web services in a way compliant with the security configuration defined by the service developers.

Configure the NSAL

To configure the Network Security Authentication List

  1. Select the Network Security Authorization List (NSAL) tile from the Service Configuration Tasks page, or from the left-hand menu.
  2. For each authentication service listed that your title will support, check the Add to list check box on the corresponding tile.
  3. When you have checked all services that you want to use for authentication, click Save.
  4. After you save the configuration, publish to a development sandbox. For info about how to do this, see Publish to a Development Sandbox.

Add or remove an NSAL

To add or remove an NSAL:

  1. On the Network Security Authorization List page, for each authentication service listed:
    • To enable access to the web service, check the Add to list check box on the corresponding tile.
    • To disable access from the web service, uncheck the Add to list check box on the corresponding tile.
  2. When you have checked all services that you want to use for authentication and unchecked all services that you don’t want to use for authentication, click the Save button in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. After you save the configuration, publish to a development sandbox. For info about how to do this, see Publish to a Development Sandbox.
