Add or Change Art Assets

The art assets that you provide in the Xbox Developer Portal (XDP) are used in the catalog listing for your product. The catalog listing is common to all instances of the product.

XDP allows you to submit the following types of art assets:

Note

It’s strongly recommended that you don’t mix and match HD and 4K assets-stick to one resolution, HD or 4K, for all of your catalog artwork.

Note

The procedures for adding and changing these art assets are the same for all types of art assets, except for image galleries, which must be uploaded as .zip files containing the .png files in their root directories, with no subfolders or other files in the .zip.

In XDP, you can add and change default, localized, and override versions of art assets. An override version is displayed in a single region where the alternative language is spoken.

After you have uploaded art assets, you must republish the catalog for the assets to be visible on the console.

Sections in this topic:

Add or change an art asset

The dimensions required for each type of art asset are provided on the tiles for each type on the Edit Art Assets page. When you upload files to add art assets, XDP will upload any image file, but you can only save the uploaded art if it meets the requirements for the type of art asset that you have selected. If the file that you select does not meet the requirements, XDP displays an error message that describes the requirements.

  1. On the product page, click Art Assets under Catalog & Artwork.
