Setting Up Your Xbox One Development Environment

Setting up your development environment consists of several steps. We recommend that you perform them in the following order.

1. Verifying Requirements for Your Development Computer. To run the development tools on your development computer, Xbox One XDK requires some basic hardware and software requirements.
   
2. Configuring Your Development Network Access. To run the development tools on your development computer, configure your development network access.
   
3. Connecting the Xbox One Hardware. Set up the console and connect your peripheral devices.
   
4. Installing the XDK and Dev Kit Software. Set up the software components of the development environment.
