Create an XDP Access Group

Access to content is granted only to groups, and not to individual users or individual devices.

Groups simplify and clarify access management. Rather than having to grant access for specified content to many individual users or devices, you simply grant access to the groups whose members require it.

Note

To create access groups in Xbox Developer Portal (XDP), your XDP user account must be a member of an access group that has either the Publisher Org Administration permission or the Publisher Management permission.

After you create an XDP access group, you can use it to grant access to specified XDP content for all members of the group.

To learn more about granting access, see Grant Design-Time Access and Grant Run-time Access.

To create a new XDP access group

  1. On the Manage menu, click Access Management.
  2. In the My Groups list on the page that appears, click Add Group.
  3. Enter a name for the group, and then click Create.
  4. The new group appears in the My Groups list.

You can now add users to this group. For information about how to add users to a group, see Add a User Account and the User to an Access Group.
